Who is CrankyPants?

Who is CrankyPants?  Well, that depends on the day, the mood, and the events.  When you run a farm, there's always at least one animal that is just not a happy camper.  Lately, this has been our baby goats when we take them away from their mothers.  Oh the crying is pitiful.  :)  We run a farm in the Texas Hill Country.  We primarily raise dairy goats, but we have chickens for eggs and meat.  We also love to grow our own vegetables and fruits.  Also, we love our dogs that guard our livestock from predators.


Our original CrankyPants was our house cat, Sheba (aka Little Tuna, aka Ms. Finger-Biter, aka CrankyPants).  For the full 20 years we had her, she was temperamental and moody and sometimes just down right mean.  She was also very smart; learned to open doors and pull things out of the trash without turning it over.  From the day we brought her home to the day we said goodbye in June 2014, she seemed to understand everything we said and did. She loved to cuddle up in a lap and crawl into bed with us.  She used up all 9 lives and maybe borrowed some too as she was with us for 20 years.  We loved her dearly, and we miss her every day.
